I read this! In fact a bunch of us in dev did last year after Jessica mentioned it on IRC. I liked it too, but I thought it was a little syrupy and precious. And I found the use of dialect in the narration (vs. dialect in the dialog) to be distracting.
I rated it 2/4, but that's because my ratings are always way the hell skew-left.
