I went to my friends Sasha and Lindsay's house this Sunday for their annual gift exchange. As always, there was an enormous selection of things to eat and drink, and as always, there were vicious gift fights. This year's exchange was "Borat" themed, so fake moustaches were handed out at the door, and one of the gift challenges was "Draw a Jew or Pamela".
I tried to get pictures of all the gifts, but some people were so excited that they couldn't keep still and made the photo all blurry. Still, I think I got 90%. Note that these are in semi-random order. Sorry about that, its a problem I'm trying to work out...
As a kid I was always interested in how things were built. I liked taking apart my toys, I liked watching construction vehicles moving around dirt, wood and metal and I always liked the "Picture Picture" on Mr. Rogers Neighborhood.
For these reasons, I've been really enjoying my ride to work every morning down 3rd St. Almost the whole length of the street has some kind of construction going on. Here's a few shots of cranes I took the other day:
Ever go to In and Out burger and order a 20x20? This guy did:

Enjoy!
Beau and I took a walk to the Metreon for lunch today, partly to get something new to eat (I almost always get the same thing at Whole Foods every day) and partly to gawk at the line forming around the Playstation store. Aparently tonight at midnight is when they throw open the doors and the line to be there stretched down the block, twists around, then jumps to the other side of the street!
We found the front of the line and found out that these guys have been waiting since yesterday morning. They were being interviewed on camera and taunted by a man wearing (for some reason) a Nintendo Wii controller costume.
There seemed to be a lot of support for these people though. Aparently Starbucks was bringing over coffee for everyone in the morning and while we were walking by, there were two taco trucks pumping out trays of burritos for people in line. There didn't seem to be money passing hands (and they certainly didn't get out of line to order) so I'm wondering if Sony just bought food and coffee for the first X people in line. I suppose spending $8 on someone who is about to pay you $600 isn't too bad a deal.
What's on your Top 5 video games list?

I was just thinking about this on my way into work this morning. I guess it would be:
- Beyond Dark Castle
- Katamari Damacy
- Civilization
- Warlords (playing until 4am with friends)
- Gran Turismo (thanks to jprall for reminding me!)
There are so many though that I would probably put in if I thought long enough about it, like:
- Ico
- Pirates! (Sid Meyer, you rock!)
- The Colony
- Prince of Persia (old skool version)
- Sim City
- Grand Theft Auto (Vice City)
- Fools Errand
- Metal Gear Solid
Hmm, I know I'll think of more later...
